White chocolate and lemon cake

Something sweet for a sweet day, made with a sweet boy!  And since he has inherited the ‘lemon’ gene, we decided on a white chocolate and lemon cake, love!

I need to give the kid the photo credits as well, he was keen to have a go, and I think he was definitely up for the job, what do you think?


White chocolate and lemon cake

This is what you need:

100 g butter
4 eggs
250 g ground almonds
200 g of sugar
250g white chocolate
grated zest of 2 lemons
Juice of 2 lemons

This is what you need to do:

Preheated oven to 180 degrees.
Mix the butter and sugar until combined.

Stirring constantly, add the eggs, flour and ground almonds. 
Pour lemon juice, zest and white chocolate. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a baking tin (we decided on a 
heart shape as Valentines Day is at the end of the week), and bake for approx. 45 minute.
